Kids are sent to the hospital with only the clothes on their back. They’re forced to adapt to life in a hospital room for months to come, with no concept of what’s ahead, and no chance to escape back to their home. One of the most critical items in our care boxes is a handmade pillowcase. Hospital pillowcases are rough and strange to kids, but your handmade pillowcase will provide a tangible reminder of home.

We need 2 pillowcases for every care box we send out, and we need your help to accomplish the mission.

You can help bring comfort in 3 easy steps.

1: Buy your fabric

Please buy 100% cotton fabrics in fun patterns for both boys and girls. IMPORTANT: Please pre-wash the fabric before sewing, to prevent shrinking and warping of the pillowcases.

2: Follow our sewing pattern

Whether you’re a veteran or new to sewing, please watch the video and follow the guidelines below so we can ensure every pillowcase fits just right!

When we were in the hospital, one of the things that brought our family the most comfort were the handmade pillowcases that were provided to us during the hospital stay
